The Aardvark Jazz Orchestra continued its 47th season with wide-ranging originals by music director Mark Harvey, including the premiere of his piece Greta (for teen climate activist Greta Thunberg) and the Boston premiere of his 2019 composition Consecration.
Harvey’s rambunctious political satire was on display in DeEvolution Blues, Fake News Blewz, Trumputin Tango, and Democracy Street Dance (selections from Aardvark’s latest CD Democratic Vistas on the Leo Records label).
The event was 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Killian Hall, 160 Memorial Drive, Cambridge.
